A Better, Less Toxic Way
to Control Plant Diseases

Blight. Powdery mildew. Black spot. Scab. Rust. These aren't pretty words, and the damage these diseases wreak on garden plants isn't pretty, either. Now, gardeners can prevent and control these diseases and truly put their garden's best face forward — without resorting to toxic fungicides or messy, unreliable home remedies.
GreenCure® is the safer-to-use solution.

Environmentally Friendly

Until recently, fungicides have been some of the most toxic pest control products available, and the EPA has taken several off the market because of health concerns. But mold and mildew are dangerous in their own right and shouldn’t be tolerated. Mildew spores are unhealthy to breathe and can cause severe allergies and serious respiratory problems for people with asthma.

GreenCure® Stops Mildew

Under an Electron Microscope it is possible to see how the mildew spores on the right are completely withered after being treated with GreenCure®. The spore on the left is untreated and remains plump and continues to send out an infectious tube to spread its destruction.

Safer Yet Effective

In 1985 Cornell University researchers, led by Dr. Ken Horst, studied how bicarbonates could be used to control plant diseases and determined that potassium bicarbonate, was the most effective. (Like baking soda, potassium bicarbonate is recognized as a safe food additive). Next, the researchers tackled the problem of how gardeners could apply the material easily and effectively. It was determined that “spreader-sticker” additives were required to enable the potassium bicarbonate to evenly cover and adhere to the leaf surface. So researchers carefully tested more than 350 possible “spreader-sticker” additives and identified specific ingredients that, when combined with potassium bicarbonate in just the right proportions, created a powerful, effective fungicide. After years of research, testing, and successful use in commercial growing applications, this environmentally friendly fungicide is now available to home gardeners as GreenCure®.

The leaf on the right was sprayed with a homemade formula that beads up and does not provide complete coverage. The leaf on the left was sprayed with GreenCure®, which spreads evenly across the surface, thereby securing the curative power of potassium bicarbonate to the leaf surface.

When you take a deep breath in your garden, you want to smell the beautiful fragrance of flowers or that fresh garden aroma – not nasty fungicide smells or suffocating mildew. GreenCure® allows you to safely control plant disease problems without interfering with your enjoyment of the outdoors.
